Good Governance Day is observed on 25th of December every year in India. The major objectives behind the celebration of Good Governance Day are:
- Make the people aware of government’s functioning and commitment to accountable and transparent administration.
- Encourage the government to work for people’s betterment and welfare.
- Include the citizens in the decision-making process of the government.
TII every year conducts activities such as varied competitions in schools, campaigns to raise awareness among people, training for public sector undertakings, launching reports on various anti-corruption and good governance issues etc. in commemoration of Good Governance Day.
